Welcome to the web site of the Upper Tamar Lake Sailing Club (UTLSC).  The UTLSC is a small friendly club based at Upper Tamar Lake, which is a South West Water Authority reservoir on the borders of Devon and Cornwall, near Bude. The club organises regular dinghy racing on Sundays from March until mid-November, with races starting at midday and 2:30pm, with time for lunch and a chat in between. Once again this year, during the summer and early autumn there will also be races on Wednesday afternoons, starting at 2:30 and 3:45pm; again, we intend to make sure there's time for a cup of tea mid-afternoon..  A wide range of dinghies take part in the racing, including Lasers, Wayfarers, Toppers and Wanderers.  Club members also take part in cruising events, including weekends away (often spent on the sheltered waters of Carrick Roads) and day sails at locations such as Plymouth Sound.  To round off, we also organise a varied social programme (especially during the coldest part of the year!) including cycling, skittles, swimming and so on.

New members are always very welcome; see the 'Joining the Club' link below for more details.  For anybody new to sailing, the South West Lakes Trust runs introductory courses for beginners at the lake from March onwards; see the South West Lakes Trust link below for more details.
