Teatime Tankard 2
We were reminded that not all races take place under sunny skies with blustery exhausting winds; today the sky was grey, it rained a little and the wind was gentle, fairly consistent and north-westerly. Robin Spiller had set a course that departed from the Home 1 line towards West White, a long beat. Cilla Gilbert (with Brian Pollard in a Bosun) crossed the line first; next was Adam Hilton’s Aero 7 and then Linda Spiller’s Laser Full. Nathan Pollard in another big-sailed Laser followed and began a race long Laser ding-dong. Linda was still in front at Inlet but the lead changed hands several times after that. Cilla got her Bosun to the end of lap 2, the finish, ahead of John’s.
